SAM Update

 

The SAM team is excited to report that an improvement of the fees structure in SAM will be implemented in the next release.

SAM will allow the agency to create 3 types of fees:

  1. Booking Fee – this was previously known as Simple Fee. This fee may be applied per person per booking, and to a specific country.

  2. Costing Fee – this was previously known as Complex Fee. This fee may be applied per person. This fee will be calculated based on the number of Costings in the SAM booking. It can also be applied per supplier and to a specific country.

  3. Segment Fee – This is a new fee structure that allows the agency to charge per number of segments booked. It can be applied per passenger and set for a specific country.

An additional enhancement coming soon will allow the agency to determine whether the fee is applied automatically to the costing screen or whether the user needs to cost the fee as is the current workflow.

 

Air Zimbabwe joins list of participating Electronic Ticketing Carriers

 

Effective immediately Air Zimbabwe (UM) will be the latest carrier to provide E-Ticketing (ET) for Sabre Connected Agents.

ET on Air Zimbabwe is fully interactive with ET issuance, as well as the ability to Void, Exchange, Refund and Revalidate.

With the IATA initiative to move to 100% E-Ticketing, Sabre continues to provide all travel agency partners with the most comprehensive content for our region and the world on just one screen.
 

Libyan Airlines and Lam Linhas Aereas Airlines enhance their availability connection with Sabre

Effective immediately, Sabre is pleased to announce that Libyan Airlines (LN) and Lam Linhas Aereas Airlines (TM) will participate as a Direct Connect Availability carrier within Sabre.
 
Direct Connect Availability represents the highest participation level in connectivity in the Sabre system. With Direct Connect Availability, an interactive message between the Sabre system and the participating airline enables seamless, "real-time" access to the airline inventory during the availability process and allows last-seat inventory displays.

These changes now make booking LN and TM via Sabre very efficient and will ensure increased productivity and increased confidence in the availability display.

Air Uganda, Air Madagascar, Daallo Airlines, Dalavia Far East Airways & Air Tahiti enhance their selling connection with Sabre

Effective immediately, Sabre is please to announce that Air Uganda (U7), Air Madagascar (MD), Daallo Airlines (D3), Dalavia Far East Airways (H8), and Air Tahiti Nui (TN) will participate as Direct Connect Sell carriers within Sabre.

Direct Connect Sell is an interactive sell process. When you enter a sell request, the Sabre system instantaneously and transparently checks the airline's database to provide you with the airline's last seat availability. The airline returns the record locator after end transaction as shown in below examples. Direct Connect Sell participants also offer the display of operational flight facts.

These changes now make booking U7, MD, D3, H8, and TN via Sabre very efficient and will ensure increased productivity.
