Sabre Web Services provides easier, faster and more flexible access to the Sabre® system functionality and products. Through the Internet, you can integrate our products and services–all the functionality needed to sell travel–with your own applications and databases. Web Services is ideal for agencies with no Sabre system format expertise that want to build or update a customised booking application for their website.
The pricing structure for Sabre Web Services features a recurring licence fee and a transaction-based (or per-request) pricing system. Support fees are included in the licence fee.
As technology advances, you require easier and lower cost ways to build your own online custom booking application. You also need easy access and the flexibility to integrate travel content with your own systems and databases. And to gain a competitive edge, you need to be able to get your product to market fast. With Sabre Web Services, you can do all of this. Plus, it makes it easy to build (or update) a comprehensive travel booking website that meets your unique business needs.
It’s simple. An Internet connection and standard industry development tools and skills are all you need. The reason for the simplification? Web Services is supported by technologies developed by the OpenTravel Alliance using web services generic technology standards backed by Sun, IBM and Microsoft. These standards enable different systems to “talk” to each other using one interface (not many) and eliminate the need for screen scraping and translating cryptic Sabre® Data Source (SDS) and Sabre system messages.
As a result, developers do not need to understand the complexities of Sabre system formats. And your agency receives all the functionality needed to sell travel: air, car rental, hotel, passenger name record (PNR). This is all achieved through the Internet, saving you time and money.
The Web Services technology allows the following:
