Key Benefits

  • A standardised interface (API) that developers can use to build applications that interact with the Sabre Red Workspace Emulator

  • Improve agent productivity by integrating existing and new applications into the Sabre Red Workspace Emulator
  • Build or integrate applications that highlight Sabre global distribution system responses as necessary (for example, to highlight agency and customer preferred suppliers)
  • Build applications that integrate with the Sabre Red Workspace Emulator without needing to rely on previous versions of APIs that may be based on 16-bit technology
  • Ability to upgrade applications to use Sabre Red Workspace API and integrate with Sabre Red Workspace portal today

API Functions Overview

·        The MySabre API supports a variety of functions. Listed below is an overview of the main functions supported in the API.

o       Notify and Send: Allows third party applications to subscribe to receive copies of all requests and responses exchanged between the Sabre system and the Sabre Red Workspace emulator. This function provides capabilities similar to functionality referred to as Filter proc, in previous versions of API’s specific to SFW.

o       Mark-Up Interface: Allows third party applications to register to monitor for specific Sabre system commands and provide instructions for mark-up of the command and/or response in the emulator.

o       TA Sharing API: Provides the ability for third party applications to gain temporary, exclusive access to the TA via a simple ‘lock’ / ‘unlock’ process and send commands to and receive responses from Sabre. For example, agencies can have their profile systems share the TA with the Sabre Red Workspace emulator

o       Additional Business Logic: Allows third party applications to execute additional business logic in the third party application before sending transactions to the Sabre system(i.e., business logic such as looking up negotiated fares, or retrieving, uploading, and pre-populating passenger profile information, etc.)

o       Debug Logging: Allows an initialisation process to adjust debug logging levels from low to high, which should provide essential information about the success or failure of any API activity.
