 Introducing John Sayas


Sabre Pacific would like to introduce John Sayas who has been appointed to head up operations, looking after travel agencies throughout South Australia and the Northen Territory.

 

John brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the travel industry and will no doubt be an asset to the Sabre Pacific team.

 

His previous roles include senior consultant at Airport Travel Centre and Phil Hoffman Travel. John also has experience as a business manager and lecturer in travel and tourism.

 

We extend a warm welcome to John and wish him all the best in his new role.


 Air Creebec, Express Jet And Flylal Enhance Their Selling Connection With Sabre

Sabre is pleased to announce that Air Creebec (YN), Express Jet (XE) and Flylal (TE) will participate as Direct Connect Sell carriers within Sabre.

Direct Connect Sell is an interactive sell process. When you enter a sell request, the Sabre system instantaneously and transparently checks the airline's database to provide you with the airline's last seat availability. The airline returns the record locator after end transaction as shown in below examples. Direct Connect Sell participants also offer the display of operational flight facts.

 Multiple Queue Placement Enhanced

A new enhancement to the current PNR Queue placement process is now available to Sabre subscribers.  The new entry will allow a single PNR to be queue placed onto multiple queues (up to 20) in a single entry.  Previously, there was a limitation of a maximum of 3 queues. 

The new action code QPM/ is followed by up to 20 Queues (Psuedo City Code and Queue Number/PitCode), separated by a cross of Lorraine. 

Example:
Entry: QPM/A0B0100/1‡ZY0199/9‡AB1287/9𠾼/1‡BB12200/10«
Response: QPM COMPLETED 

The following is an example of error responses if invalid/ unauthorised queues are included in the entry.  Valid queues in the entry will still be executed.

INVALID REQUEST 999/1

 Sabre VirtuallyThere Download To Calendar Enhancements

By way of the Add to Calendar feature on VirtuallyThere, Infotriever enables travellers to seamlessly integrate and update travel itineraries into their automated calendars.

Commencing March 15, 2008, Infotriever will be introducing new service plans to better serve travellers, including reseller and affiliate models for travel agencies and travel management companies (TMCs). Some new features will include:

  • Expand supported calendars from MS Outlook, Lotus Notes and Palm OS to include Mac, Novell Groupwise, Google Calendar and others.
  • Increase its current offering to 3 service plans, two of which are at a nominal cost and one that is no charge. 
  • Agencies have the opportunity to generate revenue from the new service plans.

Quick Reminders

QF To/From ROM/CDG
Any fare to/from ROM/CDG via HKG does not permit a stop in HKG if you are using the QF code share flight number between HKG and ROM/CDG.

This is a Hong Kong Government restriction and ADMs will be sent to any agent that issues a ticket with a stopover in HKG.

Yes, it's true. Easter is earlier than usual this year! This is because Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon which happens on or after March 21, the Spring Equinox. It will always occur between March 21 and April 25 so this year, it's as early as can be!
