Welcome to April's edition of QuickNews. We hope you enjoy this month's edition!

 Headlines

A salute to our fallen soldiers...

ANZAC Day was officially named in 1916 to commemorate the Australian and New Zealand troops who fought and died at Gallipoli during World War I.

On April 25th, we take the time to remember the fallen soldiers who have died for our country and we salute their courage and service. May they rest in peace and may we continue to honour their memory.

Lest we forget.

The winner is...

Congratulations to Simone King of Ursula King Travel, Bondi Junction who won the QuickNews Easter Competition! Simone's entry was clever and entertaining! We hope you enjoyed your Darrell Lea chocolate hamper Simone... here is her poem for everyone else:

Easter Long Weekend will be loads of fun
Spend most of the time out in the sun
Sunday I'll hide Sabre Eggs for the kids to find
They will think I'm oh so kind!
If I win this competition to all I'll brag
And they will think I'm such a dag!

Thanks to everybody who entered the competition - our judges were very entertained by all the responses!

100% E-Ticketing coming soon...

As you may already be aware effective 01Jun 2008 IATA will be eliminating paper tickets. According to IATA, the move will save the industry in excess of AU$3billion per year.

100% E-ticketing will eliminate the cost of ticket printers, maintenance and ticket distribution and will also remove cost and liability of ticket stock control.

For travellers 100% E-Ticketing will mean easier handling of itinerary changes, more effective travel booking and check-in and no more "lost tickets".

SQ is leading the way with this IATA initiative and has announced their intention to become an E-Ticket Only carrier effective 01 May 2008. Sabre connected agents will be able to issue E-Tickets only on SQ after 01 May 2008.

Further information regarding this IATA initiative will be provided closer to the deadline.
